Terms and conditions:

Deposits:
We require a £20 deposit for all appointments.
For large bookings we reserve the right to charge a higher deposit at the time of booking.
Deposits must be paid within 48 hours of making the appointment to secure your booking. If the deposit has not been paid within this time frame your appointment will be cancelled.
Deposits are fully refundable and transferable if more than 48 hour’s notice is given to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If 4 Paws Pet Spa need to cancel your appointment, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Cancellations:
We require at least 48 hours notice to reschedule appointments, if this is not provided unfortunately your deposit will not be refunded, if you have not paid a deposit we will require £20 cancellation fee.
If you do not turn up to your appointment or give less than 24 hours notice to cancel we will require full payment of your pets groom price, this is also applicable if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment,
Late collections:
Please collect your pet at the agreed time. Unfortunately, we do not have the space to keep your pet for longer than the agreed time. Late collections will incur an extra charge of £10 per 15 minutes.
Medical conditions:
Please ensure to inform us of any medical conditions that your pet has. You agree that 4 Paws Pet Spa are not held liable for any illnesses, injuries or conditions. By attending the appointment, you the owner, confirm that your pet is fit and healthy.
Should your pet show signs of being unwell or struggling to cope with the grooming process we will terminate the groom and call you to collect your pet immediately, the full appointment price will still be due.
Grooming of sick and/or elderly dogs is carried out entirely at the owners own risk.
If we feel your pet requires urgent veterinary services whilst being in our care, (and you are not contactable) you agree for us to obtain treatment at your own expense.
We do not take responsibility if your pet develops an allergy or reaction to any of our grooming products- all of the products we use are pet safe.
Aggression:
Please notify us if your pet is or has ever been aggressive this is for the safety of both your pet and the groomer. We reserve the right to charge up to an additional £20 for extra handling requirements.
Please note we cannot groom any breeds listed under the dangerous dogs act or those who have court orders against them.
Fleas:
We cannot accept pets with fleas in the salon, if you know your pet has fleas you must cancel your appointment. If we find fleas on your pet before staring the groom we will call you immediately to collect your pet, full payment for the groom will still be due. If we find fleas whilst in our care, we will charge an additional £15 for a flea wash and to fumigate the salon.
It is the owners own risk if your pet is not vaccinated or treated for parasites. If we believe your pet has lice, worms, mites, kennel cough or any other contagious or zoonosis diseases we reserve the right to cancel the groom immediately, full payment for the groom will still be due.
Pregnant pets:
We are not able to groom pregnant animals. If you know or think your pet is pregnant you must cancel your appointment immediately. If you pet has recently given birth, they must be finished weaning and had a full vet check-up including permission from the vet before being groomed.
Elderly/ animals with health problems
The grooming process can be stressful for a senior pet or those with health problems and can expose hidden medical issues or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. These pets may only be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. If we feel your pet requires urgent veterinary services whilst being in our care, (and you are not contactable) you agree for us to obtain treatment at your own expense.

By attending the appointment you the owner, confirm that your pet is ok to be groomed and has been given consent from your vet to be healthy enough for grooming.

Clipping double coated breeds:
We do not recommend to shave/clip double coated breeds. We will recommend the most suitable grooming technique for your pets coat type and life style. Risks of clipping double coats may include, but are not limited to; coat funk, alopecia, skin cancer, sunburn, hypothermia, heat stroke, frost bite. If you would still like for us to clip your double coated breed, please note this is carried out entirely at the owners own risk. We reserve the right to refuse to clip a double coated breed.
Photographs:
Photographs of your pet may be taken and used on the 4 Paws Pet Spa social media, website and for marketing purposes. Please let us know in writing if you do not give permission for photos to be taken and used.
Complaints:
If you are not happy with the service you have received from us please let us know as soon as possible, we offer free correction grooms. Please note any complaints need to be made within 24 hours of your pets groom.
Pricing:
Any prices given are an estimate only. Additional charges may be incurred due to: Overweight pets or oversized for the breed, overgrown or neglected coats, aggressive, senior, nervous or timid dogs that require additional handling, fleas and/or ticks.
Matted policy:
We strictly adhere to the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Your pet’s welfare will always come first and we do not de-matt. If your pet is matted, we will have no choice but to clip it very short. You should be aware that this process could cause or uncover some issues. These may include, but are not limited to; skin irritation, redness, itchiness, haematoma, urine scald, yeast infections, clipper rash, cuts, nicks and scratches. You agree that 4 Paws Pet Spa are not held liable.
We may also charge a matting fee of up to an additional £20.

Data protection
We use the information we collect from you for your record on the system we use. This system “topline dogs” is secure and GDPR compliant.
In addition to this we may use your information to contact you regarding important updates about 4 Paws, any changes to products or services and to carry out market research. We will never give out your details to any third party.
